pouët.net

Pouet as repository (scene.org alike) ?

category: general [glöplog]

Yes, think anyone this would be possible?
Is it true that a HD of 120GB would be needed?
I think that another mirror, this time an original,
containning all productions would not hurt...
Is Pouet Internet link fast enough?

already one year ago, scene.org had larger harddisks than just 120GB.

* Dns resolved www.pouet.net to 145.24.145.100
* Dns resolved www.scene.org to 145.24.145.100

I want to mirror scene.org on my laptop with 4gb disk space, 128mb ram - running windows 98. My Internet connection is very fast - 2048kb downstream and 128kb upstream.

Where do I find a FAQ for making SCENE.ORG mirrors?

Also how do I setup an FTP serbian to handle ftp.dk.scene.org requests?

10x TANX IN ADVANCE!!!!"#!=
Guys, some of you are missing the point, mirroring scene.org is a good thing. Even if you don't mirror all, you can f.e. mirror the last 2 years, which should be able with 120 GB.

A mirror for pouët.net isn't what we need, beause pouët.net is mainly a database, some scripts and a huge userbase... (I hope ps won't kill me for that statement. ;) )

More information can be found in the faq of scene.org.
