Scene ID password reset failing silently

Posting for Olle Super-Hans who can't log in.
He's able to reset the password, give a new one, gets a green checkmark or whatever but the new password results in "invalid credentials".
He's tried it in Chrome and Safari and gets no error message, it just doesn't work when he later tries to use the new password.
He's used the Contact Us link on id.scene.org but hasn't received a reply. He's checked his spam folder. I made him try turning off JS and clear cookies. No dice.
He made a new account a while back but same result when he tried it now.
He would like both account logins working, please contact him by email when working!

All contact form submissions are also saved in a database and I don't see anything from him. He can always hit me/us up on IRC (#scene.org)
