      - Family + Friends

      - Thanks for Pekka 'Pechu' Jauri for making a 3D-donut at school and
mentally forcing me to beat his creation in yummuness. This demo might
be VERY different if there wasn't that donut I made that day.

      - Thanks for Sakari 'Zagupi' Leppä for arranging the flight and
accommodation while I was busy with the demo.
                                                                     - maxon -

                      ________
                      I N F O:

The idea for making this non-realtime demo for Breakpoint came at
2.3.2008 19:42. That's because at that moment I realized I need to go to
Germany because my "Realtime Demo Wannabe" I submitted to Assembly '07
had been nominated for a Scene.Org award for best animation and they
wanted me to be present in case it wins the category. So I was invited to
the Breakpoint demoparty. - And I just CAN'T go to a demoparty without
participating in at least one competition. (Sure I could've picked only
graphics, but that could've been too easy ;)

So we had exactly 19 days available to make a demo until the deadline was
met. And top of that we had to leave Finland in 18th day, so that meant
we had to have the film in it's nearly final form in only 15 days.

I'm so glad I got Felor to share the workload for graphics. That was also
a good reason to form a new group. It's called ½-bit Cheese (HBC). Like a
cheese bitten in half :P (or half bitches... hmm)

We used these previously made 3D-models in this demo:
      - The hornet (Felor)
      - The cactus-rig (maxon)
      - The character head (Felor)
      - The donut-dough machine (maxon)
      - The cheese (maxon)

Everything else is made from scratch.

      Software that was used:
      - Autodesk 3ds Max 8 and 2008
      - Silo 2
      - Adobe After Effects CS3
      - Adobe Photoshop CS3

Stay tuned for our Assembly '08 release ;)
                                                                     - maxon -

We decided to include some of the 3dx Max 8 scenes we used for this demo
with this release. I really hope they inspire somebody to try out
different things for animation compo and come to COMPETE with us! You are
free to use or alter these files for your own projects or demos - but not
      for commercial purposes.

We also included DVD cover and disc -pictures for everybody to print on a
blank case and DVD :) Feel free to use them as a template to make your
      own covers for your productions.
